Robert Tumaliuan
Robert Tumaliuan is the name that I have. Ergo, I was born in Houston, TX on Sunday, September 13, 1987 at 2:42 in the morning at Hermann Hospital by exiting the uterus via cervix (for a less accurate depiction, please refer to the Bastos episode “Moments Like This”). After the doctors severed my umbilical cord, wiped the bloody placenta off my face and displayed me in a glass case, I began to thrive in Missouri City with my Mila and Albert Tumaliuan, and I have two brothers: Milbert and Gilbert Tumaliuan (the other two members of the Tanga Trio). When I was a young boy, I liked drawing, so I drew many beautiful things. When I was in middle school, I went through puberty, so I started producing hairy things. When I reached high school, I liked writing stories and essays, so I wrote a lot of creative, ingenious things. I also started playing the guitar around that time, so that was fun, too. Overall, my history has undoubtedly been quite an interesting one; a brief summary couldn’t justify the entire experience. I like thinking critically and expanding my knowledge of the world by learning and understanding different concepts and ideas.I turned Bastos around the summer of 2006. I made my first on-screen cameo in Bastos the Movie as well as in Last Minute Halloween Shopping. After participating in many short movies with Bastos founder, John-Felipe Cachero, I made my debut in To Give a Boy a Woman as the main character, Robert; I sustained many bodily injuries from the various stuntwomen available for the shoot. As an active member of the Bastos Team, I have not only brought humor to the public but have taken my creativity and imagination in another direction. And so here I am, in the magnificent, powerful Bastos Team, ready to further unleash my talents and stimulate minds and hearts and vulvas and so forth…
